Garelochhead residents are being invited to have their say on the future of the village's community hall at an open day and Easter event.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 30 from 10am until 2pm and will give residents the chance to share their opinions on the Gibson Hall and what they would like to see held there.

There will also be guests from groups who use the building who will be there to give information to the public and a display featuring events held in the hall will also be held.

The community-run Gibson Hall plays host to a wide variety of regular and occasional events, including concerts, quiz nights, meetings of the local SWI and senior citizens' group, tai chi classes, and weekly sessions run by Helensburgh children and families charity Fun First.

A spokesperson for the hall’s committee said: “We want the local community to come along and give us their views of the Gibson Hall - what they like using the hall for, and what activities and events they would like the hall to put on.

“We are hosting an open day which will feature displays of past and current events held at the hall as well as an opportunity for everyone to chat to us about what they would like to see at the hall.

“There will be people from the various groups meeting at the hall to talk to and find out more about.”

Children who come to the open day wearing an Easter bonnet will receive a goody bag and there will be a prize for the best hat.

All visitors can enjoy free refreshments on the day.
