The Advertiser’s February 8 print edition included a report on an application to carry out works at a property in Helensburgh, Redholm in West Lennox Drive, which some residents had claimed could threaten the roots of a historic 175-year-old beech tree.
The applicant, Gail Crawford, states that no works have been undertaken, and has obtained professional advice from a chartered arboriculturist to confirm that no proposed works form part of her planning application, which would negatively impact the tree in question.
The Advertiser is happy to clarify the position.
