Nature lovers can learn all about the trees of Geilston Garden in Cardross during an event later this month.

Friends of Geilston will be welcoming Helen Hazlett of the Woodlandwise Forest School who will deliver her interactive session Talking Trees on Wednesday, March 27 from 10.30am to 12 noon.

The session will teach attendees to identify trees in the garden - and much more.

A spokesperson for the Friends said: “Enjoy a purposeful walk round Geilston’s beautiful woodland and under the expert guidance of Helen Hazlett learn not only how to identify trees but so much more including their uses throughout history and their place in folklore.

“There will be summer and autumn walks in June and October, and although attending all three would be three times as good, each walk is complete in itself.”

Cardross based Woodlandwise Forest School delivers nature-based, practical education via programs designed for all ages.

The event is the first in a series of three that will take place in the garden.

Spaces cost £7.50 while the NTS Garden entry fee also applies.

Entry is free for NTS members, £1 for Young Scot cardholders, and costs £ for general entry.
