Six volunteers "made a difference" to the shores of Rhu after a successful beach clean.

People fought against the blustering winds to help at Rhu and Shandon Community Council’s beach clean on Saturday, April 13.

In an hour and half, participants made a big difference to a section of the beach which was covered with small plastics, bags and bottles.

The next clean in Rhu will take place on Saturday, May 11 at 10am and volunteers are asked to meet by the bus stop and toilet block.

The Rhu and Shandon Community Council beach cleans began in July last year and the council are always encouraging more volunteers to join their efforts - warmly welcoming anyone who wants to help.
