Ayr ice rink is officially "under offer" with interest expressed in the site, it has been reported.
The rink has been lying empty since it was put up for sale back in September last year following a campaign to keep it open.
In August 2023, investors led by Glasgow Ice Centre had submitted an offer, in partnership with organisations including Scottish Curling, Kyle Figure Skating Club, Ayr Figure Skating Club and Ayr Bruins Junior Ice Hockey Club.
However, this deal fell through and owners Ayrshire Curlers Ltd placed the venue on the market.
A campaign was launched to save the future of the facility, with a petition attracting over 10,000 signatures.
The agents involved in the sale, Ryden, have confirmed to the Daily Record that an offer to take control of the rink has been submitted.
