Over 40 kilograms of waste was collected by volunteers during a recent Helensburgh beach clean.
A group of 18 people helped at the second Plastic Free Helensburgh and Helensburgh Community Council beach clean of the year on Saturday, April 27.
The group collected 41 kgs of litter, consisting mainly small plastics and old wrappers.
A 12-volt battery casing, old broken glass, a no parking sign, and chipboards were also found.
The group managed to fill 21 three-gallon buckets with waste - which equates to around 300 litres.
The litter was removed by David Howie who donated his skip for use on the day.
A representative from Plastic Free Helensburgh said: “Many thanks to everyone who came and welcome to anyone who can come along on the last Saturday this month.”
The next HCC beach clean will take place on Saturday, May 25.
