TWO fund-raising events are being held in Garelochhead next weekend to raise funds in memory of a young man from the area who died suddenly last year.
George Neil Rigby passed away suddenly at his home in August 2023, just three months after his 21st birthday.
The fund-raising event takes place at LouLou’s Deli in Inkerman Place on Saturday, May 25 from 10am until 1pm.
Cheesecakes, cupcakes, banoffee pies, Scotch eggs and lots more delicious baked goods will be on sale, with all proceeds going to Dumbarton Riverside FC, for whom George played football, and the Epilepsy Scotland charity.
In a social media post advertising the event a spokesperson for LouLou's said: "Please tell your friends and come along. Such an incredible cause, in memory of a very special fun-loving guy."
The following day, Sunday, May 26, the Anchor Inn in the village will host a race afternoon and raffle between 2pm and 6pm with amazing prizes to be won.
