HELENSBURGH Rugby Club is encouraging local women and girls to give rugby a try during their upcoming open day next weekend.
The event takes place on Saturday, June 15 between 2pm and 4pm at the club’s grounds at Ardencaple, and will be followed by a barbecue.
Club members are hoping to reinstate the women’s and girls' section and hope to attract potential teammates through the open day.
A club spokesperson said: “Here at Helensburgh every ability is welcome to come along and try rugby out.
“This year we are aiming to reestablish a women’s and girls section at the club. Why don’t you come along to get fit, try a new sport and meet new friends?”
