A popular workshop led by a talented and enthusiastic local artist will be returning to Cardross' Geilston Garden next week.

Carol Moore's art workshop will be held on Thursday, June 20 with spaces costing £40.

The garden has been shut from Wednesday, June 5 due to a private event.

The workshop will be the first event taking place in the garden after it reopens to the public on Wednesday, June 19.

A spokesperson for organisers Friends of Geilston said: “This is always a popular Workshop and Friends of Geilston feel very lucky to have such a talented and enthusiastic local artist to lead and guide participants.

“Geilston garden offers a range of subject matter from trees and lawns, architecture, and structures, to flowers, water and wildlife and the tranquil atmosphere helps the creative flow.

“We are all suffering Geilston deprivation whilst it is closed but looking forward to the reopening.”

Participants will be able to enjoy tea and cake awhile they take part in the workshop.

The Sound Bath on Saturday, June 8 has been postponed to Saturday, June 29 and the Mindfulness Meander on Wednesday, June 12 has been cancelled, with the next taking place on Wednesday, July 10.

Ticket holders for both events will be able to attend at the rescheduled dates or receive a refund.

There are still some places available for the art workshop and these can be booked by emailing geilstonfriends.events@gmail.com.
