POLICE in Helensburgh have issued a description of a man they want to trace after a bike was stolen from the back of a vehicle in the town.

Officers say the orange Cube bike was stolen in MacLachlan Road at around 1pm on Monday, June 10.

The man was seen on CCTV a short time later in the town's Lochranza Drive.

Police say they believe the man was also trying to open car doors in the two streets around the time of the incident.

Police describe the man as white, in his late teens/early 20s, around 5ft 9in tall, and of slim build.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Helensburgh police station on 101, quoting incident number 2141 of June 10.
