HELENSBURGH'S UHI Argyll learning centre is inviting prospective students to an upcoming open day to find out about the variety of courses on offer.

Locals can discover a range of opportunities on offer at UHI Argyll at the centre on Buchanan Road next week.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 20 from 9.30am until 5pm.

A spokesperson for the said: “Find out about our courses, what it’s like to study with us and the types of funding and learning support available.

“Once you’re ready to apply for a course, our friendly staff can even help you with your application.

“If you’ve already accepted an offer, or applied for a course but need help getting everything in place before you start, feel free to drop into your local centre on the day.

“Our staff will be on hand to offer support and advice and help settle any first day nerves.”

People looking to pursue early years education can join an interactive taster session which will be led by course lecturers.

Participants will get to work alongside some of the current students to investigate how everyday items can be used to promote learning and development in children.
