THE crew at Helensburgh lifeboat were called out three times in three days after celebrating the station's 60th anniversary.
The Coastguard requested the launch of the town's lifeboat at around 9.30pm on Saturday, June 21, to assist a motorboat with three people onboard.
The boat had lost power and was at anchor towards the entrance to Holy Loch, but was not in immediate danger.
The lifeboat launched at 9.50 pm and reached the motorboat just after 11pm where the boat was towed to a mooring in Cardwell Bay.
Then at around 3pm the following day, the Coastguard made the second request of the weekend, to reports of an aircraft approaching Glasgow Airport which had an emergency.
However, while preparing to launch, the lifeboat was stood down at 3.20 pm as the aircraft had landed safely.
Port Glasgow mobile coastguard unit needed the Helensburgh lifeboat's assistance to identify an object on or near the Cockle Bank at around 7pm on June 23.
The lifeboat launched about 7.15 pm and a wide area was searched from Whiteforeland Point in the north west of the search area to the Cardross Saw Mill to the south east on the River Clyde.
Nothing was found and the lifeboat was stood down and retuned to the station at 8.25pm.
