THE crew of Helensburgh's lifeboat helped a yacht that had gone aground in Greenock last weekend.
The Coastguard requested the launch of the town's lifeboat to assist the boat with two people on board on Sunday, June 29.
It had gone aground at the entrance to James Watt Dock in Greenock.
Members of the RNLI crew launched at 7.24pm and arrived on scene 10 minutes later where they helped to lay anchors so that the yacht could re-float at high tide.
The yacht was not taking on water and the two crew chose to remain onboard.
The lifeboat returned to station and was refuelled and ready for service around two hours later.
