THE fundraising team for the Helensburgh lifeboat are preparing for their first bridge drive.

The afternoon charity event will be held on Friday, September 19 at the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club on Gareloch Road.

The drive is open to all bridge players who have been asked to arrive at 1.30pm for a 2pm start. 

Tea, coffee and homemade baking is included in the fundraiser.

A table for four people will costs £40, and all proceeds will go towards the RNLI lifeboat.

Organiser Dinkie Fairley, said: "This is our first bridge drive and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone. Preparations are well in hand and tables are going quickly. There are also some fantastic raffle prizes to be won.

"The proceeds for the afternoon will go to Helensburgh Lifeboat. Your support helps our volunteer crew to save lives at sea.”
