A POPULAR whisky festival is making a grand return to Helensburgh later this year.

The Lomond and Clyde Whisky Festival will be returning to the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre on Saturday, September 5.

Organisers say the festival is even bigger this year with more exhibitors, including retail partner Royal Mile Whiskies bringing the best bottles for people to try.

Tickets aren't on sale yet, but festival-goers are promised a free Glen Cairn Crystal glass with each sale.

A spokesperson said: "Last year was epic, but guess what? This year, we’re cranking it up to 11—and tickets aren’t even live yet.

"We’re thrilled to have our awesome partners returning as the festival’s exclusive retailer, bringing you the best bottles to sip and savor.

"Stay tuned, and get ready for an unforgettable journey into the world of whisky. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this."
