The Cruin, located on the Loch Lomond Castle Estate, closed its public dining area in 2021, but announced its comeback in January after calls from customers.
Proposals have now been submitted to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority for a new kitchen extension to rear of the building.
Put forward by agents GH Architects LTD, it is planned to partly extend the rear of the kitchen towards to the walled garden.
No further details have been submitted with the planning application, which can be viewed publicly on the local authority's website, but a decision is expected in the coming months.
