In Rosneath village there is a woman who is something of an ideas machine.
She has been the moving spirit behind all manner of community minded wheezes, from snowmen and Christmas contests, to village decoration, and help with kids toys. However, her most ambitious project was turning what had been a rubbish strewn, neglected bit of ground into an ‘enchanted glen’ which attracted a huge volunteer workforce and gave the local children their own brilliant play area.
But for every heroine there is always someone willing to see past the common good in order to focus on their own concerns. It seems some people didn’t want to look at an enchanted trail. Maybe they preferred the aesthetic pleasure to be had from discarded shopping trolleys.
At any rate, almost all the artwork has now been packed up and put in store, and the local heroine in question hopes it can be re-deployed in a different stretch of land.
