I RECENTLY visited the Helensburgh Heroes open day where the public were shown the plans for this excellent project. If anything is likely to change Helensburgh for the better, this is certainly well in the running, and more so than the unpopular waste of money that is the CHORD Project.
There will be something for all age groups including the local teenagers; apart from the Heroes Wall showing the famous people connected to the town, there will be places to eat, computer connections and cinemas, which will even have the facility to view current opera and ballet productions and concerts on screen without us having to travel to Glasgow. What a wonderful opportunity.
The people of the town, Helensburgh Community Council, and A&B Council should be backing this project to the hilt to give Helensburgh a real shot in the arm. It is thanks to Mr Worms' tenacity that the plans are making headway. Let's see some support for him so it comes to fruition before I am too old to enjoy it.
