A WELL-KNOWN Burgh bowler notched up his 100th match for West Dunbartonshire County on Saturday.
Helensburgh Bowling Club"s Keith Tait played in the Andrew Hamilton competition against Argyll & Bute at Eastfield BC in Dumbarton. Keith started out at Garelochhead BC in 1988 where he won the club championship on three occasions.
Amazingly, he repeated this feat at Helensburgh BC, the latest championship coming last year.
He picked up his first county cap in 1993 and has never looked back.
Five years ago, he along with fellow centurian George Sneddon won the SBA Pairs Trophy at Northfield BC and the same pair narrowly lost out the following year in the final of the British Isles Pairs Championship.
The partnership has also prevailed in the Helensburgh & District Open Tournament Pairs.
At just 35, it is a truly remarkable career so far and Keith is has time on his side to record other major bowling successes.
