The ladies’ section of Cardross Golf Club enjoyed beautiful summer weather for their annual ‘Invitation Day’ on Friday, May 25.
The course was in excellent condition, a credit to the hard working green staff. It is always a most enjoyable and sociable day with much laughter over disasters and celebration of success.
The winners on the day were Lynne McDonald from the host club and Lynne McNeil (The Carrick), while Sheila Gardiner (Cardross) and June Haggerty (Helensburgh) finished runners-up by a narrow margin.
A raffle held at the event raised £263 for the Helensburgh branch of Alzheimer Scotland.
