YOUNG rugby players from Helensburgh rubbed shoulders with international stars of the game this week when they met Scotland's Six Nations Championship squad at a training session.
The Burgh youngsters travelled to Clydebank Rugby Club to watch the squad in action as they prepare for their next fixture against France in Paris on February 23.
Around 1,700 people, among them players and coaches from numerous clubs in the west of Scotland area, attended the public training session at the Clydebank club's new all-weather facility.
Posting on the Helensburgh Youth Rugby website, HYR's Robin Smith said: "A great experience for the kids (and coaches!) to meet some of their rugby heroes.
"Going to events like this just shows how strong the rugby values for all our kids, and how open, friendly and approachable team Scotland are."
