FOUR members of the Loch Lomond Hockey Club squad have been selected for the Scotland Masters and Grand Masters squads for the Home Nations and European Cup tournaments later this year.
Jane Neil, Anne McGregor, Rosie McColgan and Vanesa Sabala have been chosen for the over-60s and over-45s squads respectively.
It’s the second year in a row that the Loch Lomond quartet have been selected to represent their country.
All four will be part of the Scotland squad for the annual Home Nations tournament against England, Wales and Ireland, and for the over-45 and over-60s European Cup tournaments in Belgium.
The over-45 tournament takes place at Rotterdam HC from July 22-31, while the Grand Masters, for players aged 60 and above, will be played at the KHC Dragons club at Brasschaat, near Antwerp, from June 19-29.
A spokeswoman for LLHC said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the players and for the club.”
Loch Lomond, meanwhile, have no league fixtures over the mid-term school holiday, but training continues on Tuesday nights at 7.30pm on the Lomond School hockey pitch.
All players over the age of 12 are welcome.
