WITH the Druids Curling Club’s season nearing its close, another of the club’s competitions has just been completed.
Six rinks took part in the Heather Bowl tournament, which has been played over the past three weeks.
Each team played against the two others in their half of the draw, and last week the two teams who had topped their group, skipped by Margaret Morrison and Maureen Mason, played each other in the final.

Margaret’s rink got off to a strong start over the first four ends but Maureen’s team, skipped on this occasion by Fiona Thomson, began to recover and catch up.
However in the last end with the opposition lying two shots to the good, Margaret played a winning shot giving them a three-shot victory.
