In the semi-finals the Dumbuck pair beat Craig Blenkinsop and John Neal junior from Cove and Kilcreggan BC, while another Cove and Kilcreggan pair, Jamie and Alan Godfrey, were beaten by the host club’s Allan Howie and Gordon Steven.

Allan and Gordon took an early lead in the final, only for Joe and Lenny to pull back to make it peels after seven ends.

The decisive blow came in the ninth end when Joe and Lenny scored a five, and despite Allan and Gordon pulling three shots back in the last two ends they lost by three shots to give the Dumbuck duo their second win in the competition.
