ARDENCAPLE FC’s young footballers have received a boost ahead of the new season in the form of two major sponsorship deals.

Babcock Marine has opted to extend an initial three-year sponsorship deal with the club for another season, to help fund kit for various Caple age groups.

John J. Taylor, director and general manager for submarines within the Babcock International Group, recently met up with Caple chairman Craig Holborn and club ambassador and former Celtic and Scotland midfielder Murdo MacLeod to hand over a cheque sealing the deal.

Craig said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Babcock has been able to extend our current sponsorship arrangement for the season ahead.

“As the region’s only club to have been awarded Platinum status under the SFA’s quality accreditation scheme, Caple continues to embrace the local community and we are constantly looking at ways to improve what we can offer to our ever-growing membership.

“This type of funding from such a major employer in the area helps tremendously.”

John added: “I’ve been involved in playing and organising community football for many years so I’m delighted that we have been able to continue our support of Ardencaple.

"Babcock is committed to support physical and mental wellbeing in the community and the workplace. That’s why we are pleased to support football in the community and running events, like the Babcock 10K race series.

"I’d like to wish Ardencaple all the best of luck for the season ahead."

Meanwhile, Rik Murray from Ardencaple’s 2003 team was delighted to receive a cheque for £250 from Neil Matthews for sponsoring the team for the forthcoming season.

Neil said he was delighted to sponsor the team for the forthcoming season.
