THE organisers of the 2020 Babcock 10k Series have extended the ‘early bird’ discount for entry to the three-race series for a final time.

If you’re feeling the after-effects of too much Christmas Day food, and want to do something about it in the new year, you can enter online at entrycentral.com before midnight on Thursday, January 2 and get a discount of around 20 per cent on the full entry fee for the series.

Until that date, entry for the three races costs £35 for runners affiliated to a registered club and £41 for those who are unaffiliated, compared to the full price of £51 and £41 respectively.

There is more than £6,000 in cash and Start Fitness vouchers for running footwear and apparel on offer across the series.

The individual winners in Helensburgh will take home the Andrew Henderson Memorial Trophy in the men’s race and the Taylor Wimpey West Scotland Trophy for the women’s race.

Series entrants will each receive a specially designed More Mile technical T-shirt, while finishers in all three races will be rewarded with a unique set of commemorative medals and a goody bag containing Start Fitness running accessories.

Rio Olympic marathon runner Sonia Samuels, from Sale Harriers in Manchester, has already signed up for the Helensburgh race, which is again expected to attract a top quality field.
