STEVEN GERRARD reckons Cedric Itten's first goals for Rangers will do him the world of good this season.
The striker opened his account with a late brace against Motherwell on Sunday as he came off the bench to add a shine to the scoreline in a 5-1 victory.
Itten was a £2.5million signing from St Gallen this summer and Gerrard was delighted to see him get off and running in Light Blue.
He said: “I’m pleased for Cedric he’s come close on a couple of occasions. Attacking players love scoring goals so hopefully that will hopefully do his confidence the world of good.
"JD as well, fantastic movement to nearly get his shot off and we nearly got him on the scoreline as well. Goals are coming from different areas.
"Jordan Jones came in and had great cameo on Thursday and I gave him an opportunity today and took it and did ever so well. The pleasing thing as a manager is that everyone’s chipping in and getting goals.
“To win against a Motherwell side that has been well drilled of late, and went up to Aberdeen and won comfortably up there, this wasn’t an easy game today.”
