A BRAND new season is well under way for Helensburgh and Lomond’s curlers - and the fate of the first trophy on the Cardross Curling Club fixture list has already been decided.
Ian McArthur’s rink won themselves an early Christmas present with victory in the King Competition, for a trophy which was presented to the club more than 100 years ago.
The successful rink of Ian McArthur, Kirsty Robertson, Alex Clark, and Rosemary Robertson (pictured righ) dominated the competition, winning all their matches with an average score of 10 shots to three.
They were presented with the impressive King Cup by club president Ewen Baird.
