THREE young members of Helensburgh Sailing Club have returned home after competing against some of the top youth sailors in the UK.
Tristan Somerville, Logan Brown and James McPherson headed to Dorset to compete in the Topper Nationals in Weymouth last week.
They achieved some fantastic results, with Tristan and Logan finishing 39th and 55th respectively in the Gold fleet and James achieving 22nd place in the Silver fleet.
James's performance made him the highest-placed Scottish competitor in his field, while Tristan and Logan took second and third place among the Scotland-based entrants in their class.
Tristan's achievement came just a few weeks after he finished 10th in the Silver fleet at the Topper Worlds in Mar Menor in Spain.
