Members received trophies, rewarding them for their fine summer form and also took part in the fun game, organised by the club’s social committee, which challenged players with a number of differences in play from the normal game, including forcing players to play with the wrong hand and rotating players to add that bit of fun to the game.

The winners of the game on the night were, Harry Feeney, Robert Begg and Allan Howie while Barbara MacLachlan won the Spider.

President Hugh Murray then presented all the winners with their prizes and presented the quiz prizes to the winners, Caitlin Grant and Tom Feeney, runner-up Lauren McAuley and third place Brandon Mackie Fleming.

The members then enjoyed a buffet supper, prepared by the ladies of the club, while president Hugh Murray addressed the company and intimated an apology on behalf of Sadie Montgomery.

The secretary then led the presentation of prizes, with the Jackie Montgomery Memorial trophy and prizes being presented by Cathy Crossan on behalf of Sadie Montgomery the sponsor of the competition in memory of her late husband Jack.

The Junior Points ASH Trophy was presented by Allan Howie with the remaining trophies and prizes presented by the president, ladies captain and gents captain.

On completion of the prize giving, gents captain George thanked the sponsors for their continued support, the ladies for the marvellous buffet, and the social committee for the organisation.

Club head coach Allan Armstrong then took to the floor and explained the coaching system and praised the efforts and commitment of the juniors whose had work had been rewarded with the Scottish Bowls Bronze award.

The youngsters, namely Rachel McKillop, Rachel McCauley, Harry Grant, Harry Feeney and Murray Grant were then presented with their awards.
