House hunters in Argyll and Bute are having to fork out more for their ideal home.
Figures from Your Move/Acadata show the average house price in the area stood at £168,399 in February - up by 6.3 per cent on the previous year. However, the monthly increase from January was lower at 3.8 per cent.
In West Dunbartonshire, the average house price rose by 9.3 per cent over the year to £116,395, although the difference from January showed a drop of almost two per cent. In Scotland as a whole, the average house price rose over the year by 7.3 per cent to £182,936.
