Today's Archieve Hour winds back the clock 10 years to our coverage of a woman's fundraising efforts on April 17, 2008.

AN AFTERNOON tea held by a Helensburgh woman in memory of her husband, who died from a devastating and debilitating illness, has raised at least £4,100.
The proceeds are going towards Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a brain disease which robs its victims of their ability to walk, talk, see, swallow, eat and drink.
It results in the patient being confined to a wheelchair or being bed-bound and unable to communicate, yet they remain mentally alert.
Alisoun Fairbairn’s husband, Robert, developed the illness approximately seven years ago and died from its affects just a few weeks ago.
She held the fund-raising function at her St Michael’s Drive home on Saturday, as part of National PSP Awareness Week. Friends and acquaintances travelled from Ayr, Glasgow, Bridge of Weir, Fintry and surrounding areas to attend.
Alisoun said: “We had between sixty and seventy people and a huge raffle which alone made £902.
“I am very pleased. It was just fantastic and amazing that so much has been raised and I expect to receive more. The overall amount includes about £1,000 donated at his funeral.”
Also attending the function were some staff members of Helenburgh’s Morar Lodge Nursing Home where Robert was cared for during the last year of his life.
