Rhododendron enthusiasts from across the country are set to meet in the Gibson Hall in Garelochhead.

The annual show of the Scottish Rhododendron Society will see competitors exhibiting their colourful shrubs in Garelochhead.

The competition is open to all and there is no entry fee.

There are more than 50 classes for species and hybrids, and a novice section for those new to exhibiting.

Judging at the event starts at 10am and the show opens to the public at 12pm.

There will also be a plant sale with a specialist rhododendron nursery and selection of plants Exhibits can be set up on Friday, May 4 from 3-8pm and on Saturday morning from 8 to9.45 am .

Vases are provided and help will be given to novices.

There is also a photographic competition.
