In today's Archive Hour we turn the clock back 15 years to look at a royal accolade for Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team

MEMBERS of the Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team have received thanks from Buckingham Palace for all their hard work.
Fifteen members who have been with the team for five years or more were presented with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. Training co-ordinator Brian Cook said: “We do this voluntarily and so it is quite nice that that has been appreciated and recognised.”
The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal recipients of the medalswere Mark Leyland, Douglas Philp, Brian Cook, Jane Grimley, John Harvey, Graham Bridger, Duncan MacLachlan, Robin Kinvig, Dave Melville, John Shaw, Moira Weatherstone, Neil Haggerty, Jim Boyd, Ian Nicolson and Mike Bignall.
