The Scottish SPCA is urging people in Helensburgh and Lomond to help them care for abused, abandoned and injured animals.
The animal welfare charity is in with a chance of winning £50,000 as part of the Pets at Home Love to Give scheme, and is calling on the public to vote for them.
Joe McDade, manager at the Dumbarton Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, said: “We don’t receive any government or lottery funding which means we rely entirely on the public to be able to continue our work rescuing and rehoming animals in desperate need of our help.
“This money will go straight towards the animals in our care, and will pay for vet treatment, toys, treats and much more to continue the everyday running of our centres.
“Last year our centre in Dumbarton cared for 891 rescued animals which highlights just how busy we are.
“Without these donations we would not be able to continue our vital work rescuing and rehoming abandoned and unwanted animals in Scotland.”
You can vote at any local Pets at Home store or online: www.scottishspca.org/vote
Each supporter can vote five times before voting closes on May 31.
