PLANS for a new submarine training building at Faslane have been lodged with Argyll and Bute Council.
The Ministry of Defence is seeking permission to build the facility on a site north of the sport pitches at the base.
The MoD says the building will be ‘co-located’ with a submarine escape, rescue, abandonment and survivability training facility – known as SMERAS – for which permission was granted last year.
The plans can be viewed by searching the council’s website for the code 18/00979/PP.
