A RETIRED surgeon is the new president of Helensburgh Rotary Club.
Mike Jane was installed for the 2018-19 Rotary year by his predecessor, retired local painting and decorating firm boss Gordon Burgess, at the club’s weekly luncheon in the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club at Rhu today.
Douglas Dow is the new senior vice-president, with Derek Hall as junior vice-president. Donald Fullarton remains club secretary and Lesley Kennedy treasurer.
The Rotary International theme for the year, ‘Be the Inspiration’, asks rotarians to inspire change in the world and in each other.
