A Helensburgh family are offering a cash reward for the return of their cat.
Two-year-old Rosie, a pedigree Rag Doll cat, went missing on Saturday evening after going into the front garden.
Melanie Miggins, Rosie’s owner, told the Advertiser: “She escaped into out the other evening but usually she never goes further than the front garden and always returns when you call her, but she never came back.
“We didn’t expect anything like this to happen. She gets scared and doesn’t like to travel far, so we are beginning to think the worst.”
Melanie lives in the new houses on the former Hermitage Academy site with her three young children.
“They all miss her so much,” she added. “She’s very special to us, she’s part of the family.
Rosie is a house cat, so is not microchipped and doesn’t wear a collar.
Melanie added: “When we got her she was the size of the palm of your hand and now she weighs about 2kg.”
Since she went missing, Melanie has been out looking for her and has checked along the main road to see if she has been knocked down.
She also launched an online appeal to help trace the cat which has been shared 82 times, however no one has come forward with any information.
If you have any information which could help find Rosie, contact Melanie on 07791473159.
