A play based on the real life story of the working class girl from Ayrshire who became Scotland’s most successful female footballer is coming to Cove this weekend.

Rose, written by Lorna Martin, tells the story of Rose Reilly, who left her home at 17 to pursue her dream of playing professionally and helped the Italian national team win the precursor to the Women’s World Cup, before being voted the best female footballer in the world.

Rose is on stage at Cove Burgh Hall this Saturday, September 17, at 8pm. Tickets (£12.50) can be bought online at coveburghhall.org.uk.
