FOUR years after the last event, Helensburgh’s popular Street Food Sunday event is all set to make a welcome return to the town’s calendar this weekend.

A host of delicious food and entertainment will be on offer at the family-friendly day at the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre in East Clyde Street on Sunday, July 2 from 1pm all the way through to 6pm.

Food providers already announced for the event include the Ghillie Dhu Mobile Scullery’s lobster and seafood, Lola’s Cakes, Bakery and Desserts, The Big Taquero, Mama Del’s Filipino street fusion food, Scozzese Wood Fired Pizza and Cafe at Kilcreggan.

There will also be craft stalls from exhibitors such as Oddami, Turadh Bakes and Makes, Morvern Glass and Stella Irving Photography, and many more, offering everything from bath bombs to tarot readings - along with cocktails from the Civic Centre's bar.

All that's needed now is a guarantee that shades and sun cream will be the order of the day rather than brollies and raincoats - we can hear the sun dances being practised from here!

The afternoon was a huge hit with foodies from Helensburgh and far beyond when it first took place at the Civic Centre way back in 2019.

Entry to this Sunday’s event is completely free. For more information about what you can expect to see on Sunday take a look at facebook.com/HLCCEvents.
