ONE of the stars of popular TV comedy series Limmy's Show is to headline a night of stand-up in Helensburgh this month.

Four comedians will take to the stage for 'Comedy at the Clyde' with Raymond Mearns at the top of the bill.

Showcasing some of Scotland’s top talent, the show will take place on Friday, September 29 at the Clyde Bar.

Iain Hume and Liam Dolan will also take to the stage, with Rob Kane filling the role of the night's MC.

Raymond is known for his work on Limmy’s Show, his appearances on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News, and his role as ‘Happy Boab’ from cult Scottish TV show Legit, devised by Robert Florence and Iain Connell, who went on to create the sketch show Burnistoun.

As a stand-up, Raymond has performed in successful Edinburgh Fringe shows every year from 2011 to 2023.

Iain is a regular on the Scottish comedy circuit, appearing at Glasgow’s Glee and Rotunda Comedy Clubs and Aberdeen’s Blue Lamp and Breakneck.

He has provided support for many well-established comedians and recently opened for Gary Faulds, Gary Meikle, Ed Byrne, and Milton Jones.

Liam got into standup just before Covid-19 hit in 2020 and has since appeared at venues including The Stand, Monkey Barrell, and The Panopticon.

He has also performed in Glasgow’s International Comedy Festival.

Rob is a  well-regarded compere on the Scottish circuit and a past finalist in the Scottish Comedian of the Year and 'Amused Moose' competitions who has appeared in the BBC Scotland sitcom Scot Squad and radio's Off the Ball football show.

Doors for the Clyde Bar show will open at 7.30pm while the show will run from 8.30pm to 1am.

Limited tickets are still available. Tickets cost £10 each and can be purchased at bit.ly/comedyattheclydeseptember29.
