Helensburgh locals are set for a glamorous night as an annual fashion show highlighting a range of trendy outfits is set to return.

Locals will be able to view and buy clothes from Wilkies' autumn and winter collections at the show at Helensburgh Sailing Club on Thursday, November 9.

Volunteer models will strut their stuff on the catwalk to raise funds for the RNLI's Helensburgh lifeboat.

Aside from raising funds for the lifesaving organisation and enjoying the show, attendees will also be able to treat themselves to wine and canapés and participate in a raffle.

Organiser Lesley Quirk said: “This is always a fun event with music, wine, and canapés and of course our glamourous models.

“We have been overwhelmed by the support from the local shops and businesses.

“A big thank you everyone who has donated so many fantastic raffle prizes and to 1921 who will be doing the models hair and Zoe Orr who is doing the makeup.

“The show is one of the highlights of our fundraising calendar and the tickets sell out quickly so please don’t miss out.

“Come along and support the Helensburgh lifeboat crew to save lives at sea.”

The 2023 range of RNLI Christmas cards will be on sale at the fashion show and at the organisation’s Charity Christmas Card Sale on Saturday, 4 November.

The RNLI was established in 1824 and provides a 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland helmed by volunteer lifeboat crews.

Since they were created, the organisation has saved over 144,000 lives at sea and provided a source of education on water safety to prevent accidents.

Fashion show tickets cost £15 with the price including pre-show canapés and a glass of wine or soft drink.

They are on sale now at the Wilkies store in Helensburgh or can be purchased by messaging the RNLI Helensburgh Facebook page.
