A SERIES of pop-up dining experiences with a Masterchef finalist is coming to Loch Lomond.

Cameron House is set to launch the five-course menu series with in-house chef Rohan Wadke.

The limited gourmet experience will have people embarking on a culinary journey across south-east Asian cuisine, with flavours to be savoured from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.

Rohan will personally introduce each course, offering insights into the inspiration and the harmonious fusion of flavours that define each dish.

The pop-up events will run on selected Friday and Saturday evenings from January 26 until March 30 at the hotel's new event space, The Monarch Room, which was inspired by contemporary Scottish design and boasts captivating loch views.

Rohan said: “The pop-up series will showcase the tantalising flavours and creativity of South-East Asian cuisine here at Cameron House.

"Diners can experience new tastes and innovative dishes which pay homage to the flavours of the regions. I look forward to welcoming guests from near or afar.”

Sample dishes from the set-course menus will see diners sitting down to traditional Puchka and Far Far with homemade chutney.

The main dishes include Ayrshire red rooster potato and apricot croquettes with kafir lime and tomato ‘Techa’; Scottish salmon kinilaw with moilee sauce, pickled heritage beetroot and crispy curry leaf; or a much-loved Old Delhi style butter chicken tikka, rice and naan.

Diners can finish the evening with a poached pear Helene with five spice custard, Madagascar vanilla and ‘Murmure’ caramel.

A fully vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menu is also available for those with dietary requirements.

The 2016 Masterchef finalist, who went on to be a quarter-finalist on Masterchef: The Professionals, has more than 20 years’ of experience working in some of the UK’s finest restaurants.

Rohan's culinary journey has included the Cinnamon Club in London and launching Gilpin Spice at the 4 AA Rosette Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, as well as the Taj Mahal Mumbai and Leela Kempinski.

He has also appeared at the popular food and drink festivals hosted by nearby Loch Lomond Shores.

The pop-up dining experiences will start from £45 per person.
