Helensburgh women enjoyed a bounty of booze and tasty treats at a special 'Galentine’s Day' event last weekend.

The Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre’s latest Boozy Brunch, held on Saturday, February 17, saw local ladies have plenty of fun celebrating the season of love with family and friends.

The event included cocktails, an unlimited buffet, tarot readings, pop-up beauty stalls, entertainment, and stalls from local businesses and craftspeople.

One of the day's stall holders, Matthew Frearson of Helensburgh Soapy Suds, said: “That was our third Boozy Brunch with the civic centre, and it's just such a wonderful and fun afternoon.

“The ladies that come round look like they are having the best time. The music keeps us entertained and the food is great.

Helensburgh Advertiser:

“We have had really great feedback from selling at the Boozy Brunch, with our makeup brush cleaners being our best sellers there.

“All the ladies that come through want to smell and look at everything, which we encourage.

“We love going and hope to keep going for future events.”

The Galentine’s Day Boozy Brunch was the third of its kind in the civic centre - with the next yet to be announced.

It is expected that the next Boozy Brunch will take place later this year - but there's plenty planned for the venue before then, including a cocktail-making workshop in March and an ABBA tribute night in May.
