A MAN has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting five different women over the course of almost a decade.

Douglas Park is accused of attacking a woman at a property in Greenock in August 2015, when he was still a teenager.

It is claimed that Park, now aged 26, repeatedly placed his hands inside the alleged victim's lower clothing and touched her private parts.

Park is said to have indecently assaulted another woman on a date in November of that year at the Cathouse nightclub in Glasgow city centre when he allegedly placed his hands around her waist, touched her privates over her clothing, grabbed her by the waist and prevented her from being able to get away from him.

According to prosecutors, the accused sexually assaulted a third woman at the same address in Greenock on an occasion in April 2019, by placing his hand inside her dress and touching her thigh and groin area.

A fourth woman was targeted at the same house during the same time period when Park placed her hand on his privates, moved his hands inside her lower clothing and sexually assaulted, the Crown claims.

Court papers allege that on an occasion in February 2022, at student accommodation in Glasgow, Park sexually assaulted a fifth alleged victim by placing his hand inside her lower clothing and touching her privates whilst she was asleep.

Park, who lives in Glasgow, pleaded not guilty to the alleged offences through defence advocate Lewis Kennedy during a hearing at Greenock Sheriff Court last week.

A jury trial, expected to last up to five days, is scheduled to start in September.
