The incident happened at the Arnold Clark showroom in Milton just before 5pm on Tuesday, resulting in a number of emergency service personnel being called. The extent of the damage and whether anyone was injured is unclear at this stage.
The A82 Stirling Road was closed for a short time to allow emergency services to attend, with delays affecting rush hour traffic.
It is the second incident on the stretch in just over a month after a man was knocked down and killed on outside the nearby Abbotsfod Hotel.
Tuesday’s incident caused massive disruption on the roads, with tailbacks stretching from the incident west bound to the Erskine Bridge and east bound towards the Lomondgate Roundabout.
However, the road was reopened later in the evening.
Anyone with any information that could assist police in this instance are asked to contact officer on 101.
