Karen Connolly, civilian instructor at 1777 Dumbarton Squadron, said: “Hannah Joyce, Emma Joyce, Heather Richardson, and Sophie Melvin have all been a great addition to our squadron. Between them they have attended weekend wing camps, Duke of Edinburgh weekends, been to Wing Swimming, won medals, completed their Youth First Aid badges, and been to parades.
“They assisted at other squadron events such as the Helensburgh Highland Games, marshalling the Kilt Walk and raising money for charity through bag packing. Congratulations to them all.” If anyone is between the ages of 12-17 and is interested in joining the Air Cadets – based at Bonhill Road, Dumbarton – the group are open on Mondays and Thursday, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, and they are also on Facebook under 1777 Dumbarton Sqaudron Air training Corps.
