The car, which was parked near 2 Suffolk Street, had its tyres slashed.
PC Andrew Crawford said that it was an isolated incident and was keen for any witnesses to come forward.
He added: “We don’t know why it happened and nobody was seen in the area.
“It’s expensive for the person who’s been a victim of this so we will be looking to find the person responsible and deal with them appropriately.”
