An anonymous artist sent in the portrait to the Advertiser, which was painted as part of an extra mural class at the school in the mid-1960s.
The young girl featured in the portrait was a model who sat for it.
A letter accompanying the painting said: “She will be an OAP by now but if she is still around and recognises herself she might want to have this as a reminder of how pretty a girl she was (and no doubt still is).
“She is very welcome to it with the best wishes of this amateur artist.” If you recognise the model, please write to the Helensburgh Advertiser or send an email to editorial@helensburghadvertiser.co.uk.
