The leaflet tells people what to do if they discover knotweed and gives advice on a weedkiller which can be purchased to kill the plant.
It will also help people to identify the weed as well as advise people on what to do and what not to do should they discover it.
Members of Rhu and Shandon Community Council are also encouraging members of the public to get back to them if they are still not sure about the plant after reading the leaflet.
A ‘team of experts’ will then be sent out to give more advice.
Members of the community should get back to the Council by using the feedback page on the website or sending an email to secretary@rhuandshandoncommunity.org.
